Yvonne
January 28, 2012

I am Yvonne, a 44 yr old woman from England, who has suffered with Rombergs for at least 12 years that I'm aware of.

The first sign of any changes to my face was in the year 2000, when I noticed a darkening under my left eye, which ran down to my upper left lip. My lower left eye lashes began to drop out and my eye was constantly itchy.

I have the mark of the coup de sabre which was diagnosed by my specialist in 2002.

I have had numerous surgeries ranging from a major fat graft operation in February 2003, eye surgery to correct double vision in 2007 (which I suffered with for almost two years) and a liposuction type procedure in 2012 to fill in the void areas in my left cheek.

The disease has greatly affected my confidence, whereas I shy away from talking to anybody new, and I don't go out of my way to chat to people that I don't know.

I am a very positive and upbeat lady (I smile on the outside anyway), but worry about the future and how this disease may affect me.

Feel free to leave a message for Yvonne at rombergs@hotmail.com
